WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
January 23, 2026
Alert from Rose Hill Special Utility District:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
With freezing temps in the forecast please protect exposed pipes and faucets.
- Know where your Cut Off Valve (COV) is to shut off your water in case of an emergency leak!!!!!
- Make sure your COV handle is clear of debris such as leaves, dirt and mud and that the COV is working properly and completely shutting the water off to your home.
- If you do not have a COV, get one installed within 2’ of your meter ASAP!
You are your best defense against damage from burst pipes and leaks. RHSUD Staff will be busy keeping the infrastructure up and running to ensure that all our customers have water flowing to the taps. If you have a water leak at your home or property, please consider calling a plumber first to assist you. RHSUD Staff does not fix leaks on the customer side of the meter.
Dripping faucets can also help keep pipes from freezing and you from being without water service. Make sure to watch for leaks once the temperature starts to rise especially if your pipes do freeze.
Thank you and stay warm.
